Anthens, Georgia beat combo Cars Can Be Blue have just come back from a weekend impresisng crowds at Indietracks. Their label HHBTM have kindly given us the premiere for their new video it’s for their infectuous track “Lie” filmed by Athens GA’s Jordan Reyes lifted from their third album “Trace the Tension” watch below. They are knee deep in a UK tour check out the reminaing dates below along with a statement from the band!
“Hello, this is CARS CAN BE BLUE, perverted pop mutants el supremo from Athens, Georgia, USA writing you, a member of the UK music press, in the hopes that you may acknowledge our tour of your fine, shitty country. Why shitty? Because we were supposed to do a UK tour way back in 2008 and we got denied & sent back home. Yeah, it was all our fault, but it feels better blaming you (England). It put quite the chip on our shoulder (or, as we say in America, a french fry on our shoulder).
Anyway, our depression and drinking problem has subsided enough that we’re back, not only with a “second chance” UK tour, but also a new album called “TRACE THE TENSION” (which will be released Sept. 24th on the amazing, wonderful, critically lauded HHBTM record label here in the ‘States). You should write about us because we are actually a lot more interesting than most bands. That’s all! Ball’s in your court now, England! PEACE!!!”
