NEWS: SWIGOD! Libertino all-dayer at CWRW, Carmarthen on Record Store Day

Next month, Welsh record label Libertino, home of double Welsh Music Prize winners Adwaith, are teaming up with SLUSH CIC to present an all-day celebration of their artists, vibrant community, and remarkable journey so far. It takes place at CWRW in Carmarthen, a venue close to the label’s heart.

Starting at 2pm, Libertino acts perform ten hours of live music, a reflection of a decade of bold, genre-defying Welsh music.

Sponsored by Welsh Language Music Day and RSD, the lineup consists of Adwaith, Los Blancos, YNYS, KEYS, Kidsmoke, Angharad, Accü and newcomers Penne Orenne who all play on 12 April, and there are Libertino, Slush and Beast PR DJs as well.

Libertino was born out of a flash of inspiration on the dance floor of the legendary Parrot in Carmarthen, now the ever-important CWRW, the label’s home from home. They return to their roots to honour the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to what’s next in Welsh music. This is more than a gig, they say. It’s a declaration.

And rumour has it there’s a ten year anniversary bash to look forward to in the near future.

Adwaith who are to support Manic Street Preachers on the forthcoming Swansea dates of their tour, released new album ‘Solas‘ in February, their third. The record’s listening party took place at CWRW. Here you can watch the interview from the night:
