NEWS:  AtticOmatic explore neurodivergent love on latest single ‘Wait’

Brighton’s AtticOmatic resist easy definition. Flitting between biting indie-rock, ethereal dream-pop, electronica and contemporary jazz, their new single Wait’  encompasses most of these aspects in one seamless sweep. The single gives a tantalising glimpse of their upcoming EP Fold The World due on 9th May.

‘Wait” reflects the band both at their most fierce and sincere. Stylish soul- deep spoken word and mellifluous melodies, shimmer with wide-screen slices of shoegaze as lush dream-pop harmonies, driving base and celestial hooks elevate this multifaceted track to another level.

The track’s lyric offers an earnest exploration of the relationship between the band’s twin lead vocalist  Lorcan Forder and Kamran Kaur, as Lorcan explains: “We wrote Wait when we were both diagnosed at 23 with Autism (Kam) and ADHD (Lorcan), after having been in a relationship for 5 years. The lyrics are about how overwhelming love sometimes feels, Navigating what it is like to be in a neurodivergent relationship and understanding how similar, yet totally different two people can be.”
