Huarinami is a French London-based four-piece that seamlessly blends punk energy with the grooves of psychedelic indie rock. They have just shared their stunning debut track, ‘Girl I Know,,’ swirling with lush, hypnotic, grooves breathlessly dancing beneath the dreamy vocals. This record is a spellbinding trip that you’ll want to go on again and again. The stylish track is lifted from their upcoming debut EP super soft due for release later this year, ‘Girl I Know’ sees lead singer Pauline Janier‘s honeyed vocals melting into kaleidoscopic grooves and tangerine-hued guitars weaving a celestial spell as a flute whispers its way to the end.
Speaking of the song they said, “Girl I Know’ is a song that still has a large range of dynamics and doesn’t feel ‘pliable’ but rather mesmerising. It’s about love, flirts and charming dynamics between two people, it feels light and easy. We’re so thrilled it’s how we’re introducing ourselves to the world”.
Huarinami frontwoman Pauline Janier has already made a mark on the scene with her Cody Pepper solo project, which has been heavily championed by Jess Iszatt (BBC Introducing in London) and gained BBC 6 Music spins from New Music Fix and beyond. s A talented visual artist, she also made the artwork for the “Girl I Know” release. To celebrate the release, the band will perform their first headline show at Paper Dress Vintage on the 6th March 2025 – tickets here.
