Formed by members of Johnny Marr’s band, New Order, and Section 25, Sea Fever have been making waves since the release of their debut album in 2021. Their highly anticipated follow-up is finally on the horizon and we finally have a glimmer of what’s to come with the release of their new single, ‘Loose Cut’ – their first new music since 2022’s standalone track, ‘Beleaguered Land’.
The electro-pop/indie-techno five-piece continue to impress, with ‘Loose Cut’ being an undeniable standout. Led by Beth Cassidy’s smooth, captivating vocals, the track blends high-energy club beats with a hypnotic electro-noir vibe, making it impossible to resist.
From the pulsating beat of drummer Elliot Barlow, to the brooding synths of multi-instrumentalist Tom Chapman, ‘Loose Cut’ brilliantly fuses the unique talents of each member of the supergroup. With its unyielding energy from start to finish, it’s primed to follow in the footsteps of the live favourite ‘De Facto’.
Sea Fever continue to impress with each new release, and ‘Loose Cut’ has only amplified our excitement for what’s to come next. In the meantime, you can catch the band live at their upcoming shows in Macclesfield and Leek. Tickets are available here.
