French trio We Hate You Please Die, are heading to the UK this March 2025. In support of their recent vital new album Chamber Songs which came out on 20th September 2024. Watch the video for the fantastic ‘Adrenaline’ that spikes an assault of clattering post-punk and scurrying riffing and scorched feminist polemic, into your veins.
Back with Chamber Songs, We Hate You Please Die, create a new twist on their dark and urgent punk and riot-grrl influences. This new album uncovers powerful lyrics such as those of ‘Stronger Than Ever‘, a feminist song which advocates freedom; ‘Control,’ an anthem for the right to abortion; or even ‘Sorority’ which is a call to sisterhood.
The album cover, created by Carolina Moreno, opens the door to the ‘chamber’ that representatives of the place where the album was written. With a Sofia Coppola aesthetic, we see a woman writing in her diary : love, toxic relationships, sex, depression. These texts become the lyrics that are the themes underpinning the collection that is ‘Chamber Songs’.
