The UK’s biggest female-focussed showcase festival, LOUD WOMEN travels to New York on 10th May 2025 with a festival at 3 DOLLAR BILL, Brooklyn. The London-based feminist music collective LOUD WOMEN, have showcased the most exciting newcomers on the global DIY, punk and indie scene over the last ten years including Nova Twins, Big Joanie and Lambrini Girls. The New York LOUD WOMEN festival looks set to continue its mission to “put more women on more stages and turn up the volume.”
The first wave of bands include Brooklyn-based grunge punks Desert Sharks, international art punk chameleon Dubais (UK), Brooklyn queercore punks Eevie Echoes & The Locations, mummycore kitchenpunks I, Doris (UK), Philidelphia hardcore-punk band, ShyGodwin, NYC power pop darlings Sorry Darling and Brooklyn power punk, Typhoid Rosie. In its ten years, LOUD WOMEN has grown through word-of-mouth to become a thriving global community, with new chapters springing up in the US, Canada, Australia and Ireland, an influential music blog loudwomen.org, active social media, and radio shows. In London alone, LOUD WOMEN has hosted over 250 gigs, showcasing over 600 artists. Iincluding Nova Twins, Big Joanie,Grace Petrie HotWax ARXX & Lambrini Girls.In December 2024. The first LOUD WOMEN Fest Australia was held in Melbourne.
