£5000 donated to Mind raised from Cure covers album ‘Pictures of You’

Today, we are thrilled to announce that we have finished donating the £5000 raised from our release, Pictures of You: A compilation of covers of songs by The Cure in aid of MIND that originally came out on Bandcamp in August 2023.

We are SO grateful to The Cure themselves for boosting sales of the release by sharing details on Facebook and Twitter, they didn’t have to do that, so thank you so much Robert Smith and the band, it boosted sales from a very healthy £1,700 in pre-sales and a few hundred upon the first few days of release to a final amount raised of over £5000. We have donated £5000 and will continue to donate any remaining funds to Mind after tax deductions on Bandcamp.

Thank you to all of the acts involved and everyone who has bought it!

Elisa Vadilonga of Mind’s community Fundraising team at Mind sent us the following statement:”On behalf of the Community Fundraising team at Mind, I wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude for your incredible fundraising efforts. Congratulations on completing your music fundraising — it’s fantastic!

I hear you’ve raised an impressive £5,000. Your dedication and hard work are truly commendable, and it’s clear how much effort you’ve put into supporting Mind. Your enthusiasm will undoubtedly contribute significantly to ensuring everyone with a mental health problem has a place to turn for support and advice. Thank you from everyone here at the charity!”

Just £10 could help our Infoline answer 1 enquiry. Our Infoline helps people find out more about everything from mental health problems to treatment options, every weekday. The money you’ve raised could help our Infoline answer 500 enquiries. That’s potentially 500 people finding out more about key mental health information, and getting the support they need.

Once again, a huge thank you for your invaluable support.”
