NEWS: Red Rooster Festival announces first wave of artists for 2025

When: 29th – 31st May 2025

Where: Euston Hall, Suffolk, England

Red Rooster Festival will be back for its 11th annual outing in 2025, returning once again to the idyllic surroundings of Euston Hall, located in the peaceful Suffolk countryside and complete with its 300 acres of historical private gardens and beautiful rolling parkland. Furthermore, this brilliant celebration of Cajun, soul, rock’n’roll, blues, roots, and country music, has just announced the first wave of artists who will appear at next year’s event. And it all makes for some very exciting news.

First out of the hat is the superb Oklahoma singer-songwriter, guitarist and retro rock’n’roller JD McPherson who come 2025 will be playing his first UK shows in seven years. Then there is his fellow American, the outstanding blues guitarist Samantha Fish. And bluesman Jerron Paxton makes it a trio of top-class American musicians who will be heading to Euston Hall come the last weekend in May next year.

Straight out of East Los Angeles and one of the most popular bands on the SoCal soul scene are Thee Sinseers who are led by the multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer-songwriter Joseph Quiñones and feature a full brass section.

Described as “a soul rock group with a twist of Latin inspired flavours and rhythm” and another band who will be making the trip across the Atlantic are The Altons. But just to show that Red Rooster 2025 will not be all about American artists, next year’s festival will feature many dynamic acts from this country including the consistently excellent Danny & The Champions of the World, incendiary rock’n’roll outfit Jim Jones All Stars, country-pop singer Twinnie, and the highly respected folk and blues musician David Viner.

Other top names joining next year’s Red Rooster bill include the Dutch blues-rock trio DeWolff, the DIY country band Jenny Don’t and the Spurs from Portland, Oregon, Nashville-based avant-country artist, J.P. Harris, the Florida coastal country musician Emily Zeck, The Too Bad Jims with their take on North Mississippi Hill Country blues, and the three-piece rock’n’roll band from St. Albans The Zipheads.

Red Rooster Festival has consistently sold out over the past six years and with the first 15 artists now announced, tickets for next year’s event are bound to be flying off the shelves yet again.

A discounted Still Snoozin’ Rooster Weekend Ticket can still be bought for just £129.50 + booking fee. This covers the entire weekend with three nights of camping and complementary parking. And, as always, children aged 12 years and under go free, making Red Rooster one of the best-value festivals in the UK.
