NEWS: Back Doune the Rabbit Hole

Doune The Rabbit Hole, the Scottish music festival that was cancelled in 2023 following a number of controversies, including being accused of failing to pay artists and technicians the year before, will be returning to its former home on the Cardross Estate in Stirlingshire on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of August 2025 under the name of Back Doune the Rabbit Hole.

Back Doune the Rabbit Hole is under new management and promises to “bring fresh energy while staying true to the festival’s roots of music, community, and culture.”

The original Doune The Rabbit Hole was last set to take place on the Cardross Estate from July 21 until July 23 in 2023, however, organisers announced in June 2023 that the festival had been cancelled.

The company behind the event, Doune The Rabbit Hole Festival Ltd, subsequently entered liquidation after suffering “huge financial difficulty”.

The rebranded event Back Doune The Rabbit Hole is managed by recording and touring artist Brian Harkin and Preston-based booking agency Rock Artist Management.

Ahead of line-up details being announced for next year’s event – early bird tickets will be available soon – Brian Harkin says the aim of Back Doune the Rabbit Hole is to restore the festival back to the “high regard in which it was held by audiences before the challenges of 2023”.

He adds, “As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we offer our assurances to audiences that the festival is now under the guidance of a highly experienced management team, recognised as leaders in the UK music festival scene, which is committed to preserving the essence of Doune the Rabbit Hole while bringing stability and renewed energy to the event.

With a refreshed vision and a commitment to delivering the best festival experience yet, we can’t wait to welcome everyone back next August to relive the magic.”
