Louisiana native I Am Roze has shared their new single ‘Think For Yourself’, the first track from a brand new body of work. Roze, who was discovered by Fred Again, created the work on a recent writing trip to the UK and showcased their prodigious talent to some of the most in-demand writers and producers in the country.
The track takes aim at celebrity culture and was co-written and produced by Eg White (Amy Winehouse, Adele, Sam Smith, Florence and the Machine). This collaboration adds another layer of sonic beauty to I Am Roze’s already exceptional output.
On writing ‘Think For Yourself’, Roze commented: “I’m sick of celebrity culture, especially as it pertains and permeates the United States. So, ‘Think For Yourself’ is me questioning people who mindlessly follow these figures, trusting their word, buying their products, all because of the name, because of the status with no real insight whether or not it will actually benefit them.”
Roze also spoke about working with Eg White, saying: “It was beautiful working with Eg to accomplish this track, because he’s willing to just try things until they work, which made it really easy to be creative.”
Through stunning vocals that are hard to match and a true voice that chooses to empower, I Am Roze continues to enchant a rapidly growing audience.
I Am Roze’s debut EP I’m Not Emotional was released back in April. Stream here.
