NEWS: Beyond the Music Co-operative Music Forum and New Music Festival announces further participants

Global Co-operative Music Forum and New Music Festival Beyond the Music taking place in Manchester 9th – 12th October, unveils its second wave of artists for 2024. BBC Introducing, Nice Swan Records, Manchester Pride and more to curate three days of live music in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. They announce details of summits, keynotes, networking sessions and exclusive announcements at Aviva Studios.

This October, the second edition of Beyond the Music will take over the historic Northern Quarter in Manchester to showcase and celebrate a diverse range of upcoming talent, and today they have released their second wave announcement of artists and unparalleled list of stage curators. Their live programme runs alongside their world-class conference held at Aviva Studios of which more details have also been shared. Beyond The Music have collected some of the most prominent names in UK music to curate and host a range of showcases across the Northern Quarter celebrating the next generation of exciting artistry. BBC Introducing remains one of the most essential sources of support for the UK grassroots community, Nice Swan Records (home to Mercury Prize nominees English Teacher and acclaimed quartet Sprints) continue to discover and promote the up and coming leaders of UK guitar music, Manchester Pride and From Manchester to Palestine are dedicated and necessary in their activism. 

The newly announced stage curators for the festival’s three day music programme also include: Chris Hawkins Awesome Friends, Clash, Curated by Chunky, Disorderly Conduct, Dot to Dot Festival, Factory Sounds, Fat Out Fest, Focus Wales, Future Yard, Gig Pig, Greyline, Headstock, Jodie Bryant’s Discover Live, Manchester New Tastemakers, Mas O Menos, Melodic Records, Moovin Festival, Raise The Bar Mcr, Rodeo Mag, School Night, Sour Grapes, South Asian Music Summit, Steve Lamaq, Studio 88, The Manc Audio, Unity Radio.  The announcement also includes a range of new additions to the expansive lineup, continuing to platform a range of genres and styles and bring together a myriad musical selection.

Beyond The Music’s desire to empower and equip attendees and performers with knowledge and a space for honest conversation has extended to their lineup, as the festival earlier issued a call out for new artists to perform at the 2024 edition, to which over 2,500 artists applied.

Co-founded by promoter and social enterprise founder Oli Wilson and Sarah Pearson, Founder of Wasted Youth Music, alongside Rose Marley, CEO, Co-operatives UK, Beyond The Music’s founding members span CityCo, Co-operatives UK, Factory International, GMCA, MCR BID, Manchester Accommodation BID, Co-op Live, AO Arena, and BPI and it has been supported by Manchester City Council.

Tickets to Beyond The Music 2024 are now more affordable than ever, a standard Delegate Pass (including conference and festival access) is priced at £170, a Festival Day Ticket is £20, and a Festival 3-Day Ticket is available from £40 – first release tickets are available here.
