NEWS: Supersonic Festival announces final 2024 line-up

Acclaimed heavy-rock festival Supersonic 2024 is just over a month away, set to take place from August 30th to September 1st. Known for its eclectic mix of experimental and underground music, this year’s lineup features notable acts such as Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Gazelle Twin, Emma Ruth Rundle, and Mary Lattimore. New additions to the lineup include the celebrated composer Matana Roberts, who will also perform a special children’s gig.

The festival will showcase an array of performances and activities across its three days. On Friday, attendees can look forward to sets from Dame Area, Melt-Banana, and a special commission by Grove featuring Toya Delazy and TaliaBle. Saturday will bring performances from Agriculture, MC Yallah x Debmaster, Senyawa, and The Body & Dis Fig’s debut collaboration. Additionally, Homobloc x Fvck Pigs will host a late-night party, while Cosey Fanni Tutti will host a conversation with Maxine Peake.

Sunday’s lineup includes performances by Daisy Rickman, Brìghde Chaimbeul, John Francis Flynn, and Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe. The festival will also feature unique acts like ØXN and One Leg One Eye, along with interactive activities such as the Freak Zone pub quiz hosted by Stuart Maconie, Do.omyoga sessions, and DJ takeovers by Maxine Peake and Boss Morris.

Supersonic Festival continues its tradition of providing a platform for avant-garde and boundary-pushing artists. This year promises to be a memorable event with its blend of music, art, and communal experiences.
