Working with the likes of The Dap Kings, Amy Winehouse, Lizzo and The Roots , Dave Guy is a very talented trumpeter with an impressive CV, he is now stepping out on his own to release his first solo LP on Big Crown Records this September. He has teased his forthcoming record with the brilliant opening album track ‘7th Heaven’ which you can listen to below, it’s an absolute blast of jazzy, horn-powered sunshine, with daubing organs and infused with exhultant melodies, it harks to the sound of 70s but brought into the present day: it’s the blue skied soundtrack to the brief spell of sun we appear to be having.
