PREVIEW: Love Supreme Festival 2024

Love Supreme is a three-day greenfield jazz, funk and soul festival held in the stunning surroundings of Glynde Place in the iconic South Downs of East Sussex.

Beginning life in 2013, Love Supreme has since grown in size and stature to become the UK’s biggest outdoor jazz, funk, and soul festival and continues to attract a world-class line-up to this annual event. Headlining Love Supreme in 2024 are the 10-time GRAMMY Award-winning American singer, Chaka Khan who is celebrating 50 years in music, and the English neo-soul singer Olivia Dean who will be making her debut festival headline appearance.

An incredibly strong undercard features such brilliant artists as the legendary American singer Dionne Warwick, New Zealand-Australian musician, singer, songwriter and record producer Jordan Rakei, British singer, songwriter and actress Mahalia, American psychedelic soul band Black Pumas, American rapper, poet, and record producer Noname, Grammy- and Brit-Award winning singer Joss Stone, American jazz, R&B, soul, funk and disco group Kool & the Gang, and renowned horn player Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, and playing his first UK show in 22 years Sananda Maitreya & the Sugar Plum Pharaohs.


Over the course of the first weekend in July, many more great acts besides will appear on Love Supreme’s five music stages covering everything from global superstars to jazz legends; contemporary R&B to the new UK jazz movement; and Latin jazz to emerging artists.

There is so much more to Love Supreme than music with camping, food village, wellness activities, kids area, plus artist interviews, panels, and film screenings in the Jazz Lounge. And this year Love Supreme continues to evolve and develop as evidenced by New Generation Jazz being transformed into a listening bar hosted by Mr Bongo. It will become a new late-night spot for food, cocktails and a sound system with a stellar line-up of selectors.  

There will also be a new look to the south end of the festival site with covered seating, street food, a cocktail bar and a premium campsite village.
