Rpemz’s ‘Tun Up Remix’ features guest artists Fyah Furnace and SymFonic, effortlessly merging party vibes with hussle and determination, stirring elements of dancehall, hip-hop bars and raggae into a uplifting and invigorating track that seeks to rise above negativity. Infusing the track with the essence of street culture while showcasing the stunning backdrops of St. Vincent’s vibrant beaches and lush greenery. Despite the laid-back depiction of island life, the video hints at the underlying negativity that can often surface, especially during the interludes. The remix takes a bold stance against the ‘crab in a bucket’ mentality, emphasizing that you can still ‘Tun Up’ and rise above toxicity.
Rpemz’s early listening was influenced by hip-hop icons like Wretch32, Young’s Teflon, and Nipsey Hussle, as well as dancehall legends such as Elephant Man, Ding Dong, Fireman Hooper, Lutah and contemporary artists like Masicka and Popcaan.
