NEWS: Hiatus Kaiyote share new single ahead of album release

Hiatus Kaiyote have released new single ‘Telescope’, the third track from their upcoming album Love Heart Cheat Code.

‘Telescope’ is a reflection of the collective’s personal as well as otherworldly inspirations. The track has a psychedelic quality, and shows a vast musical range. Cosmic lyrics about space and astronomy are paired with Brazilian and samba-like rhythms in a well produced, arranged and captivating track.

The band transports listeners to an intimate crux in the universe to find solace in their shared musicality. Speaking about the track’s influence and significance, bass guitarist Paul Bender said: “NASA has a website where you can type in your birthday. And so each of the four verses is based on our four birthdays.”

To promote the new album, Hiatus Kaiyote will tour the US, Canada and Australia in the summer before the UK and mainland Europe in October. The band will play shows in Manchester, Bristol and London before visiting cities including Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam. Full tour dates and tickets can be found here.

New album Love Heart Cheat Code is out on 28 June 2024 via Brainfeeder Records. Pre-order and pre-save here.
