PREVIEW: Immersed! Festival Cardiff 2024

When: 27th February – 7th March 2024

Where: University of South Wales, Cardiff, Wales.

Immersed! Festival, presented by the University of South Wales, is back for its sixth instalment. The festival is well known for its immense display of creativity and artistic talent from all areas of the arts, ranging from fashion to poetry, and, of course, the musical talent on display.

Headlining this year’s Immersed! Festival is none other than the MOBO Award-winning duo Bob Vylan, known for their incredible blend of punk and their tenacious live performances, you can be sure that a particularly rowdy set awaits attendees when the time comes.

In addition to the raucous duo, support is provided by synth-laden Voya, as well as by the immense producer, DJ, and vocalist Grove. The festival will also see performances from plenty of great Welsh talent, with Bianca, CHROMA, Continents, and Statues Of Men all featuring across the day.

Immersed! has always been a festival committed to sustainability and is a subject usually broached by the fashion students from the university. However, this year the festival is partnering with the vitally important Music Declares Emergency, a charity which not only aims to illustrate the severity of the effects of climate change, but also the changes we can make to ensure a much greener and brighter future going forward.

This year’s festival theme is “Future Utopias”, and from the 29th February to the 7th March there will also be a number of fringe events taking place across the city, including an interactive theatre experience, numerous fashion projects, art installations, short films, and much more.

The festival will once again take place in Cardiff’s famous Tramshed, with tickets for the festival available here: https://premier.ticketek.co.uk/shows/show.aspx?sh=IMMERSED24
