Manchester jazz punks Maruja have released a video for their latest single ‘Zeigeist‘. Taken from performances at Supersonic in Paris, the Windmill in Brixton and Yes in Manchester, it perfectly encapsulates the exhilaration of their live performance. Maruja can embrace both the chaotic and the calm in their music, however ‘Zeigeist’ leans into the former. Its feral in nature, wild and ferocious with all four band members contributing to the passion and power of this track. The fact that the video is cut from various live sets and shows the crowds response is evidence enough of the thrill of the track.
There is further opportunity to see the four piece play live this year, including a headline tour which begins in Glasgow’s Broadcast on 1 November. Maruja released their debut EP Knocknarea earlier this year and there is a limited vinyl release.
