Brought to life by Nile Marr and Kaylen Alan Krebsbach, Share is a project that transcends borders and genres. After several weeks of social media teasers, the duo have exploded onto the scene with an evocative cover of ‘Love My Way’ by The Psychedelic Furs.
Hailing from different corners of the world, Nile and Kaylen’s unlikely friendship and shared passion has not only defied geographical boundaries, but has resulted in a sound that’s truly greater than the sum of its parts. If you’re not familiar with Nile’s work, get listening – not only did he front indie trio Man Made and release two solo records under his own name, but he’s toured extensively with composer and producer, Hans Zimmer. It’s just not Nile who has an extensive musical back ground either and Kaylen found success under the moniker, Wilma Laverne Miner.
Both accomplished musicians in their own right, the duo blend their respective styles together in what is surely the only musical collaboration to come out of Missoula, Montana and Manchester, UK. Nothing short of cinematic, their cover of ‘Love My Way’ showcases both Kaylen’s alluring vocals and Nile’s powerful guitar skills that place him at the forefront of the next generation of truly great guitarists.
Share have certainly turned heads with ‘Love My Way’ and if this is how impressive their covers are, we can’t even begin to think what’s instore for us when they combine Nile’s melodies and Kaylen’s storytelling lyrics.
