There is a very good reason why last September 25,000 people snapped up all the tickets for the following year’s Green Man Festival within a matter of a few hours of them going on sale. Because it is always brilliant, that’s why. And so it proved to be yet again for what was this hugely popular event’s 21st annual outing.
More than 1,000 artists appeared on Green Man’s 10 stages over the course of the festival’s four-day duration, with the perennially innovative and diverse range of first-class music, comedy, literature, film, visual and performing arts, and science events providing a multitude of entertainment for people of all ages.
In terms of music, Spiritualized, Devo, Self Esteem, and First Aid Kit headed the Green Man bill on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights respectively. An incredibly strong undercard included The Comet Is Coming, The Walkmen, Amyl & the Sniffers, Slowdive, Goat, Young Fathers, The Delgados, Beth Orton, Lankum, Horace Andy, and many more superb talents besides.
And God Is In The TV was very fortunate to have been there to capture some of this year’s many, many highlights on camera.
