Liam Mour’s new EP ‘Angel High’ is a stunning collection of club-ready tracks that showcase the Berlin-based producer’s delicate instinct for creating emotionally powerful electronic music. From the personal and soulful opener “Can’t Get U Off My Mind” to the energetic and hypnotic “Pure Puma,” Mour’s EP takes listeners on a journey through a range of styles and moods, blending elements of ambient, electronica, dark wave, industrial, and jungle into a cohesive and immersive listening experience.
The final track on the EP comes following a shocking event earlier this year, Mour writes “During the summer months I had a heart attack as a result of a Myocarditis probably caused by a Covid infection. This completely changed my perspective and feeling for speed. It feels like time is running faster now and somehow I need to speed up my music to be able to align my emotions,“ states the artist. Alone was the first track I made after the heart attack that has really calmed me down – even though it‘s at 140bpm“.
Mour’s EP was inspired by a personal crisis, as he explains: “During the summer months I had a heart attack as a result of a Myocarditis probably caused by a Covid infection. This completely changed my perspective and feeling for speed. It feels like time is running faster now and somehow I need to speed up my music to be able to align my emotions.” Despite this challenge, Mour was able to go on tour later in the year and play over 25 support shows for SOHN, and the forthcoming ‘Angel High’ EP marks a new phase in his career as he continues to rise in the electronic music scene.
With support from major media outlets like Mixmag and BBC Radio 1, and a successful home performance at Funkhaus Berlin’s Studio 1, Liam Mour is an artist to watch in the coming years. ‘Angel High’ is an essential release for fans of electronic music and an exciting preview of what’s to come from this talented and versatile producer.
