Liverpudllian singer-songwriter Brandon Tew has released his debut single “I’m Not Gonna Wait” – a track that explores a murky friendship that lets love slip and slide into and out of shape with one another. The single starts with Tew admitting “I don’t wanna seem like i know it all” over a fragile style of piano playing, and builds into a crescendo where Jon Withnall (who has credits alongside Coldplay and Rhianna) and Brandon Tew briefly overdub Rew’s voice and keys.
Released via Rise Records, “I’m Not gonna Wait” marks the liverpudllian’s sound as a groundbreaking artist ready for the bigger picture. Bubbling up in the UK indie scene, the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist prepares for a string of tour dates across Europe. Speaking on the new single, Tew writes “I’m not gonna wait explains the disheartening reasons surrounding the concept of giving up on a friendship that was made to be more”.
