There’s a lot going on at the moment in the world of Yorkshire’s very own indie-avant-pop stars The Orielles. The latest single to be taken from their albumTableau , which was released in October, is ‘Darkened Corners‘, a tempo shifting, autumnal slice of super mellow motorik pop music. The track is accompanied by a stunning video co-directed by the band alongside regular collaborator Neeam Khan Vela.
Having recently played a very special show with full orchestral backing in association with Piccadilly Records in Manchester, they are heading home for Christmas for two sold out shows at Hebden Bridge Trades Club this December. They have also just announced that they will be playing next year’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, which runs from 13th-18th March 2023, before embarking on a full U.K. headline tour, kicking off in Cambridge on 22nd March and finishing on 8th April in Glasgow.
