Other Voices, Ireland’s internationally acclaimed music festival and live music television programme, is thrilled to announce its return to the town of Cardigan in the county of Ceredigion, this November.
The festival will present an inspirational programme of live music and compelling and provocative discussion celebrating the enduring cultural and musical ties that exist between Ireland and Wales.
The Music Trail, a series of performances around the town, will showcase a whole host of wonderful Welsh and Irish artists and the first 10 performers have now been announced.
From Wales the first five acts are multi-instrumentalist Cerys Hafana, singer-songwriter Eve Goodman, chamber folk trio VRï, garage-rock foursome, Los Blancos, and Welsh-language rap duo Lloyd & Dom James.
Among the first wave of Irish acts announced for the Music Trail are acclaimed singer-songwriter Niamh Regan, slouch rocker Skinner, electronic artist Daithí, psych rock five-piece MELTS, and experimental musician-composer Rachael Lavelle.
Following on from 2021’s digital edition this year’s Festival is back in full swing and will feature two nights of headline performances in St Mary’s Church, 80 live sets across the town as part of the Music Trail plus three days of ‘Clebran Sessions’ – a curated series of carefully prepared talks with artists, journalists, creatives, and politicians sparking enriching, lively conversations about how we perceive our world, language and culture.
All performances from St Mary’s Church will be streamed globally for free via Other Voices’ YouTube and socials. The event will be hosted by the Welsh radio and television presenter, Huw Stephens and presented in partnership between South Wind Blows, Mwldan and Triongl.
