Over a music career spanning twenty years, Nashville-based singer-songwriter and visual artist Marissa Nadler has been honing her very own flavour of experimental, gothic-tinged dream-folk to mass acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. Taking in various sonic evolutions over a grand total of nine studio album releases, Nadler has established herself as a singular talent who is not afraid to get dark and intimate in her songwriting and to continue pushing genre boundaries with each new release.
Signed to Bella Union and Sacred Bones since 2014, her music is described as gliding between ‘delicate folk, windswept Americana, doom metal-adjacent darkness, meditative ambient music, and fearlessly experimental sounds, all anchored in her unmistakable singing voice and finger-style guitar’. She released her ninth album The Path of the Clouds in October 2021, which has been lauded as the best album of her career so far.
This week, Bella Union has announced her first European tour since the release of The Path of the Clouds this Autumn. Nadler will be kicking off proceedings in the UK on 1st November at The Lexington in London, followed by further dates throughout the month taking in eleven countries, closing on 26th November in Helsinki.
