Hot enough for you? It’s too bloody hot, certainly for this country. But if you can enjoy this sun on a lounger with a cold fruity drink in hand at any point then Tomode‘s sun-kissed track ‘Out On The Dunes’ from a forthcoming EP, could be a wonderful soundtrack.
Spiked with lucid vocal harmonies and analog synthesizers that float and twirl like kites across a bright blue sky. Underpinned by a drum machine fuelled groove the sound of striding across golden sandy beaches. Tip toeing across the sounds of the European continent, the tight vivid harmonies are informed by the pop of their fellow Swedes and the French Touch sound of acts like Daft Punk, that defined the duo’s musical upbringing.
They say: “With ‘Out On The Dunes’, we wanted to create something like a musical postcard from an
imaginary place. A sun-soaked beach where the salt from the riviera’s waters gently prickles the skin, the hypnotic melody and billowing synthesizers like a mirage in the distance”. Watch the visually inventive, animated seaside picturesque of the video below.
Out On The Dunes is the first excerpt from Tomode’s second EP Riviera, scheduled for release this Autumn.
It follows the success of their debut EP Synergy (2021), which marked the entrance of the duo – consisting of Stockholm natives Carl Leandersson and Viktor Westerberg – a spot as an
exciting and unique act on the indie electronic scene.
