NEWS: LIVE AT LEEDS: IN THE CITY announces October return, with over 50 names announced for the award-winning home of new music

When: 15th October 2022
Where: Various venues, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.

Lining up to be the latest essential event in everyone’s annual festival calendars, LIVE AT LEEDS: IN THE CITY will take place on October 15th this year. Following the triumphant summer ambience of LIVE AT LEEDS: IN THE PARK’s line-up – an event which takes place this Saturday, the 4th June – In The City has maintained a forward-looking line up which sets a trajectory for the upcoming sounds of 2023.

Headlining the festival, Pale Waves will return to many of the inner-city venues previously enjoyed by Live At Leeds, declaring their driving force of guitar pop which has developed over the past five years. ‘Television Romance’, ‘Change’, ‘There’s A Honey’, ‘She’s My Religion’ and latest cut ‘Lies’ (taken from their upcoming third album Unwanted) are set to storm the West Yorkshire city with a gothic celebration of modern pop-inspired guitar music.

As another stalwart member of the indie scene, Palace will no doubt provide a set of distinctly recognisable, atmospheric tunes whilst Working Men’s Club will issue a degree of electro-punk, following the upcoming release of second album Fear Fear.

Baby Queen – with latest cut, ‘Colours of You’ – and Will Joseph Cook, having taken to the Live At Leeds’ stages many a time – will showcase an escapade of pop-induced revelry, bringing everyone to a jovial high point with great stage performances. A fan favourite, Sea Power’s 20 years of bringing innovation to the Live At Leeds stages will curate a set which is a thing to marvel at. Dinosaur Pile-Up, on the other hand, promise a roaring set of mosh pits to go alongside their equally heavy kicks.

These artists will just be a sample of the talent on offer throughout the day as Live At Leeds has a habit of showcasing the next best thing, having previously featured the likes of Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, The 1975, Lizzo, Sam Fender, Royal Blood, Alt-J, Tom Grennan and others who have gone on to become major artists in their own right. With 200+ artists across 14 venues and 17 stages, you’ll inevitably be footsteps away from discovering your favourite new artist.
