Following Wednesday’s announcement by the Welsh First Minister and after much consultation with the Welsh Government and Powys County Council, the organisers of the Green Man Festival are absolutely thrilled to announce that this year’s event will be going ahead.
Delighted to be announcing the return of Green Man in 2021, Fiona Stewart, Managing Director and Owner of the festival says “At times it seemed like a dream that we would ever be back in the fields together, I can’t tell you how much it means to me, and the thousands of people that rely upon and make Green Man happen, that it’s actually going ahead. We cannot wait to see people enjoy the festival again!”
Furthermore, the festival has today announced the first performers and details of this year’s event, including music headliners Little Dragon, Caribou, Mogwai, and Fontaines D.C. An incredibly strong supporting line-up includes Shame, José González, Teenage Fanclub, Django Django, Gruff Rhys, and Thundercat, and many, many more great acts besides.
Given the ongoing concerns about the coronavirus pandemic, everyone’s safety is Green Man’s number one priority. To gain entry to the festival this year, anyone over the age of 16 will have to demonstrate that they have received two vaccinations at least 14 days before arrival or show that they’ve received a negative NHS lateral flow test within 48 hours prior to their arrival.
