New Welsh outfit BOI have a single ‘Cael Chdi Nol’/’Get You Back‘ out at the end of the month, and we are delighted to premiere the song for your pleasure today.
Rock n roll is back in fashion, it seems. But was it ever really away? ‘Cael Chdi Nol’ is delivered, uncompromising and bold guitar and drums with no frills or excess padding. The debut album it’s from, ‘Coron O Chwinc’, hits the shops on 25 June via new Welsh label Recordiau Crwn. The album was recorded in various spaces around Wales and lyrically shoots straight from the hip, concerned with the human condition and the times we live in.
We’re mischievously calling BOI supergroup, with former Beganifs then Big Leaves‘ Osian Gwynedd and Rhodri Siôn, and members of HMS Morris, Candelas and Sibrydion. The songs are written by Osian Gwynedd and Rhodri Siôn, and mixed by Dafydd Ieuan (Super Furry Animals)
