Edinburgh-based collective Neu! Reekie! celebrate a decade of showcasing poetry, music, and art this year and even though so many of the wonderful things planned has had to be postponed/put on hold/cancelled, they’ve still managed to publish the third of volume of their Untitled anthology – read our review here – and their first NeuVoices pamphlet of new and emerging poets Sanjna Girish, Yechareddy and Michael Mudden.
And tonight it’s the Neu! Reekie! TV – the Christmas Special, broadcast free on various platforms for your absolute pleasure.
The festive extravaganza is hosted live by Michael Pedersen and Kevin Williamson, features appearances by… drum roll… Shirley Manson, Jackie Kay, Hannah Lavery, Irvine Welsh, 2020 Best Live Act at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards Callum Easter, 2020 Scottish Album of the Year winners Nova Scotia the Truth and Charlotte Church (pictured).
