The Twenty Twenty Mercury Prize has been won by Michael Kiwanuka for his superb third LP Kiwanuka.
In a hotly contested shortlist including Dua Lipa, Charlie XCX, Laura Marling, Sports Team, Stormzy and more, this was widely tipped to win the award.
The announcement was made on the BBC One Show, hidden amongst segments with Alicia Keys and about butterflies, the award didn’t get the ceremony it deserved.
