Annie Taylor returns with her new single ‘Telephone‘, a thrilling indie-punk anthem with a catchy lead guitar and gritty, attitude laced vocals that perfectly showcase Annie Taylor‘s penchant for 90’s punk-inspired aesthetics and incredibly polished sound. The track is taken from their debut album Sweet Mortality which releases later this year, on the 4th of September. Lead singer and guitarist Gini Jungi describes the song:
- “‘Telephone‘. Of course, it’s another love song! However, we didn’t intend to depict romantic feelings this time. This song is about being clingy and desperate before you do the transformation and get independent and give a damn.”
The music video for the song was created by videographer Christian Taro, who made an effort to encapsulate “independence. Long, empty roads, the rich depth of nature, and spending time with your closest friends all to illustrate why romantic relationships aren’t needed in order to pursue true happiness.”
