Liverpool based singer/songwriter TIËRNY returns with her follow up single ‘I’ll Wait’. A powerful and heartfelt track, self-branded as “Baroquetronica” – it’s a mix of modern electronic sounds and older classical instruments that come together to create a unique, laid back vibe. Co-produced by the phenomenally talented and versatile Cardiff-based producer Minas who has also worked with other rising stars Dan Betteridge & Mogan to name but a few. The mix is pristine, allowing us to hear the hints of heartache in TIËRNY’s raspy voice as she bellows “I could never let you go“. It’s a sound that carves a path through many influences, I hear hints of Caroline Polacheck, Amy Winehouse and even Lorde in this track. It’s a stunning amalgamation of genres and influences and yet, sounds totally TIËRNY.
TIËRNY explains: “All of my songs are about me coming to terms with myself in one way or another. I wanted to reflect the duality and irony of hate\love and that fine line you tread when in an all-consuming relationship. The person in question didn’t love me anymore. This was my way of trying to reconcile with one final declaration of love. It was me saying I’m still here if you ever change your mind. It’s a sad banger, heartbreak you can dance to’.
