Alffa are gearing up perform with James Dean Bradfield at the Homeless World cup ata Cardiff’s Coopers Field next Tuesday 30th of July. Today, the young Welsh duo share with us their new video for ‘Full Moon Vulture’ watch it below.
A brilliantly artistic visual that gives flight to their rollicking bluesy punk sound. Crushing with crescendos and slithering with menace it’s redolent of the likes of Queens of the Stone age or the Black Keys. Alffa are carrying the flag for Welsh music across continents.
‘Full Moon Vulture’ follows their last single ‘Pla’ and ‘Gwenwyn’ which became the first Welsh language song to reach a million listens on Spotify alone.
That song has since smashed the 2 million mark and continues to get around 20,000 streams a day, those coming from all around the globe with a good chunk from South America! Alffa, consisting of Dion Jones and Sion Land from Gwynedd are a heavy blues rock duo with ear melting riffs. In addition to releasing a couple more singles on Côsh in the near future, an album is also in the pipeline with more details to follow
