Soccer Mommy aka twenty-one old Nashville native Sophie Allison released her gorgeous debut album Clean earlier this year now she has shared the music video for ‘Scorpio Rising.’ A wistful glistening track, that captures a feeling of wonder.
“I wanted the video for ‘Scorpio Rising’ to be a bit celestial,” explains Allison of the Jonny Look-directed video. “The whole idea of laying out in a park in the middle of the summer while looking at the stars holds a significance to me, so I wanted to capture that feeling. I think there’s also a sense of isolation shown in the video that reflects both the song and the headspace I was in while writing Clean.”
Soccer Mommy has also been announced as support for Kacey Musgraves on her February 2019 tour across the US. Allison and her band have been touring non-stop this year, including sold-out headline shows and recently wrapped up tours with the likes of Paramore, Liz Phair, Phoebe Bridgers, Speedy Ortiz, as well as her current run with Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks.
Soccer Mommy returns to the UK in September, including The Scala on the 13th. All dates listed below.
