Janelle Monáe has unveiled details of her third solo album project, Dirty Computer; the “Emotion Picture” includes an album and an accompanying narrative film. The album is available for pre-order beginning today and arrives everywhere Friday, April 27th. Shes also unveiled two singles ‘Make Me Feel’ and ‘Django Jane’, watch the video for the playful Prince-like funk pop of ‘Make Me Feel’ here:
‘Make Me Fee’, directed by Alan Ferguson, captures the spirited, celebratory voice of Monáe as she affectionately nods to the ripe sounds surrounding the 1980’s music and dance revolution.
2016 saw Monáe embark on her film acting career with performances in two films, Hidden Figures and Moonlight; both films received Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, with the latter winning the award at the 89th Academy Awards.
