WALES GOES POP! has made its first announcement of acts for the festival, which takes place between 30th March – 1st April in Cardiff.
Now in its sixth year, the all-ages festival is held over the Easter bank holiday weekend in converted church/arts centre The Gate. Artists are staggered between the main theatre and cafe stages to avoid clashes.
2018 acts include US indie pop act THE PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART, iconic Japanese punk-rockers SHONEN KNIFE and the prolific SWEET BABOO performing with his band.
They’re joined by super positive J-pop band KERO KERO BONITO, anti-folk/garage-punk/lyrical legend JEFFREY LEWIS & LOS BOLTS, and BRIX & THE EXTRICATED who feature long-term members of THE FALL: Brix Smith Start, Paul & Stuart Hanley, Jason Brown and Steve Trafford.
