BDY_PRTS new single ‘Take It To The Top’ is a treat of bounding drums and a confident intertwined vocal playfulness it’s a unique style redolent of the Dresden Dolls by way of the pop rush of Charlie XCX. It’s lifted from their debut album Fly Invisible Hero out 24 November (Aggrocat Records).
The accompanying video is a multicoloured visual feast for the eyes, with outfits that are part marionette and part pink flump, and some visual trickery that would fit well in a chapter of Alice and Wonderland.
BDY_PRTS are a duo hailing from Glasgow, Scotland and comprising of two songwriters – Chicago-raised Jill O’Sullivan (of cult band Sparrow And The Workshop) and Jenny Reeve (of Strike The Colours and frequent Malcolm Middleton collaborator) – alongside drummer/producer Jonny Scott (The Kills, Chvrches and Marnie).
BDY PRTS have just been announced as support to Pussy Riot at Organ Mor, Glasgow on 21 Nov. They’re also in the middle of a headline tour.
