London duo IDER return today with the announcement of their new single ‘Learn To Let Go’ (or ‘LTLG’), their debut release on new label home Glassnote Records. We championed IDER’s minimal yet exciting r’n’b tinged electro pop sound laced with the twin vocals of Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville, in the lead up to the release of their debut EP Gut Me Like An Animal earlier this year.
“‘Learn To Let Go’ is about self-acceptance. Finding inner confidence and freedom,” begin the band. “”I spin in my yellow dress”, a lyric which came from nowhere in particular, has come to symbolise the meaning of the song.” Before addung “Yellow universally represents courage, happiness and self-love.”
Along with the announcement of ‘LTLG’, IDER have also confirmed two new headline shows at Archspace in East London on 25 and 26 October.
