There must be something in the water here in Leicester at the moment (although it seems that the city’s Premier League winning football team may well have drunk it all last season), for there is an abundance of scintillating music coming from the area right now.
Lucky Shivers have been working on their material above a karate studio in the area, and comprise four friends from London and Northampton. Take a listen to frontman Nicholas Stevenson’s rather surreal lyrics (“I think this is apology/My alien biology’s occasionally right/I’m human by night“) and then try telling me that this band doesn’t sound like it’s going to be something very special indeed. A mouth-watering taster for their debut album, whenever that may be.
