Priests are a four-piece punk band from Washington D.C. known for their high-energy varied sound and intellectual lyricism. ‘Nothing Feels Natural’, the title track from their forthcoming debut album is a far cry from the politically-charged anthems on 2014’s Bodies and Control and Money and Power EP. It’s a slow, charming tune about being “depressed and frustrated.”
The band has been releasing music since 2012 and drawn more and more attention from the international punk community ever since. They announced the release of debut album Nothing Feels Natural late last year through Sister Polygon Records, a label run by the band themselves. You can already stream the album in full on NPR before its physical release on 27th January. As a new far-right President takes office in the band’s hometown, the confrontational Priests will only become more relevant.
