Semi-experimental alt-pop singer and musician Julia Holter released her last studio album Have You In My Wilderness in 2015, and she’s now revealed plans to release a new live studio album next year. In The Same Room will be out on 31st March via Domino Documents, a new imprint that takes inspiration from classic BBC sessions and aims to have each release recorded with one or two days.
Named after a song from her 2012 LP Ekstasis, the collection is set to span across Holter’s entire career and is the result of two days recording by her and her band at RAK Studios, not long after their performance at this year’s Green Man Festival. To coincide with the announcement, she’s also shared a re-working of the track ‘So Lillies,’ which originally featured on her debut album Tragedy. Listen below.
