After releasing a couple of singles across 2016, Bristol off-kilter singer-songwriter Oliver Wilde has revealed that his third full-length album Post-Frenz Container Buzz will be out on 17th February via Howling Owl Records. The LP is set to see a marked development in Wilde’s sound, as he explains himself: “My first two albums were fairly simple. There was no attempt at arrangement, for example. These new songs are the first I’ve developed fully, using all that I’ve learnt in the last few years. It’s easily the most accessible music I’ve ever made.”
Following on from ‘Good Kind of Froze’ earlier in the year, Wilde has also shared a new single from the new LP. Called ‘You’re So Kool-Aid,’ where his emotional vocals are layered around squelchy synths and some buried but danceable beats. It’s about as pop as Wilde could ever get, demonstrating his new found sense of accessibility. Listen below.
Wilde is also playing a pair of special album launch shows with a brand new band in March. Details below.
23rd March – Servant Jazz Quarters, London
