Liverpool psych-pop band The Coral have had an impressive 2016 following the release of their latest album Distance Inbetween. They’re now set to round off the year by releasing a brand new EP. Holy Mountain Picnic Massacre Blues will be released on Friday (9th December) and features a remix of the recent single ‘Holy Revelation’ by Manchester DJ and musician Andy Votel. There’s also a brand new track, ‘After the Rain (Post WW3 Return of the Super Turv Mix),’ a Voyagers Vs The Coral mix of ‘Connector’ and the EP closes with ‘Unforgiven,’ which was previously only available as a limited edition B-side.
Recently the band also announced they’d be launching a special exhibition documenting the music, artwork and stories behind Distance Inbetween. Running from 8th to 22nd December at Harrogate’s RedHouse Originals Gallery, the exhibition will feature new and unseen artwork alongside special edition prints that will help illuminate the songs on the LP. For more information about the exhibition, visit the RedHouse Originals Gallery website.
