Amber Bain – aka The Japanese House – recently released her brand new EP Swim Against the Tide via Dirty Hit. Featuring the singles ‘Face Like Thunder’ and ‘Good Side In,’ her latest collection of slightly tropical electro-indie has been acclaimed as her boldest work yet, seeing Bain becoming more comfortable with creating larger and more atmospheric soundscapes.
The Japanese House also recently made the longlist for the BBC Sound Of 2017 poll and is about to go on a stadium tour as special guests of The 1975. Her 2017 is already shaping up to be big once again though, as alongside a huge number of European tour dates, she’s playing a number of gigs in the UK in May too.
