Newcastle-based dreampop quartet Seeing Hands made waves earlier in the year with the release of their debut single ‘I Knew You.’ The track gained widespread acclaim and airplay on the likes of BBC 6 Music, and earned them more recent support slots as special guests of bands as diverse as Day Wave, Beach Baby and Turnover.
They’ve now just released their second single ‘It’s True.’ Produced by Alex Greaves and mastered by Brian Lucey (who has worked with The Black Keys and The Shins), it’s another Real Estate-like mix of dreamy vocals and sumptuous, slightly fuzzy guitar licks. Holding it all together is vocalist Kev Curran’s intriguing lyricism. It’s a promising sign of things to come in 2017. Listen below.
The band are playing a single launch show at Tynemouth’s Surf Café on 15th December and are doing a special show at Tyne Bank Brewery in Newcastle on 23rd December.
