Leeds duo Liza Violet and Ryan Needham – better known as rockers Menace Beach – are gearing up to release their brand new album Lemon Memory on 20th January 2017 via Memphis Industries. They’ve just revealed a new track from the LP, ‘Give Blood,’ which sees the pair continuing their surf-tinged doom pop vibes and knack for euphoric rhythms. It was apparently one of the first tracks the band produced for Lemon Memory with producer Ross Orton.
Needham explains more about what happened in the session: “Starting a session with people you haven’t worked with before has the potential to be a bit daunting, but by the time we blasted through this (“Give Blood”) a few times it was instantly apparent there was a strong vibe there and we just rode that wave to the end of the session.” Listen below.
