Teenage Halifax surf-poppers The Orielles’ knack for creating a great hook and some extremely memorable earworms has seen them garner great support following the release of their Jobin EP and ‘Krewcut’ single. They’ve now just signed to Heavenly Recordings and are set to play two of their events, including Heavenly Hebden Bridge in January.
Jeff Barrett, Heavenly label boss, said: “We got to hear about them by word of month – mostly from some of our bands, namely Hooton Tennis Club and The Parrots, who The Orielles recently supported on UK tour; which is when we all fell in love with them.” Meanwhile, the band added: “We are really excited to be working with Heavenly. They have released some of our favourite records and we’re very honoured to be among some amazing bands.”
To coincide with the announcement, the band have just added a small batch of tour dates to their schedule. Details of all their upcoming gigs can be found below.
