Cleveland group Cloud Nothings announced that the follow-up to their 2014 LP Here and Nowhere Else would be released on 27th January via Wichita Records. Called Life Without Sound, the band’s Dylan Baldi says of the new album: “In high school, I would listen to music for hours like that: just driving through the suburbs of Cleveland. And if it sounds good to me in that context and I can think of high school me listening to it and saying, ‘That’s okay,’ I feel good about the record. This is the one that’s felt best.”
The band also shared the album’s first single, ‘Modern Act.’ It’ now has a brand new video, directed by Michael J.S. Murphy. It starts out pretty dark (at the band’s funeral, in fact) after older representations of the band die of old age doing the gardening, making tea and more, but soon they’re back doing what they do best in their representation of heaven.
